The Gathering’s 4th Annual Mardi Gras Fête: A Night of Masks, Music & Meaning
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, The Gathering welcomed supporters, partners, and friends to the Woman’s Club of Wisconsin for its 4th Annual Mardi Gras Fête: A Night of Masks, Music & Meaning—an evening filled with celebration, generosity, and shared commitment to our Milwaukee neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness.
From the moment guests arrived, the spirit of Mardi Gras came alive. Sparkling beads, festive masks, and the sounds of live jazz set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Guests enjoyed dinner, games, raffles, and a vibrant silent auction, while strolling minstrels and lively conversation filled the ballroom with warmth and connection.
But beyond the celebration, the true impact of the evening was the collective generosity that will sustain The Gathering’s mission in the year ahead.
A Community United in Purpose
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our event sponsors and donors and guests, who contributed a combined total of more than $50,000, to in support of our programs, this year’s Mardi Gras Fête was a powerful testament to what is possible when a community comes together.
These funds directly support The Gathering’s free meal programs across Milwaukee—providing not only nutritious food, but also dignity, connection, and hope to thousands of neighbors each month.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and attendee who made this evening possible. Your support ensures that our doors—and our tables—remain open.
Strengthening Impact Through Partnership
We are proud to partner with organizations across Milwaukee that stand alongside The Gathering to strengthen our collective impact in alleviating hunger and homelessness. By working in tandem, we extend our mission into new neighborhoods, deepen community understanding, and connect our guests with the resources and support they need.
These partnerships allow us to do more than serve meals—they allow us to serve as a bridge to stability, care, and community.
A Night of Joy. A Mission That Lasts All Year.
While Mardi Gras is known for its celebration, this evening reflected something even deeper: the power of compassion in action.
For more than 40 years, The Gathering has provided free, nutritious meals in a welcoming and dignified setting. Events like the Mardi Gras Fête ensure this mission continues—serving thousands of meals each month and reminding our guests that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
To everyone who joined us this year: thank you for being part of A Night of Masks, Music & Meaning.
Together, we are feeding the hungry—and keeping hearts full.
