In-Kind Donations
The Gathering welcomes in-kind donations. Below are items we often need. Please call (414) 272-4122 or email soulfood@thegatheringwis.org to arrange drop-off or pick-up. Please remember that we prepare all meals on site for 100 to 250 guests daily. Large quantities of the same or similar food items are especially helpful.
Donor tip: check for savings on certain items by doing price comparisons using resources like Capital One Shopping.

Bottled Water
Most needed! Plastic water bottles for guests.
Unopened perishable food items
Produce, meat, bread, cheese and other dairy products. No expired items, please.
Ziplock Bags
Most needed! Ziplock bags to use in to-go lunches, sandwich size.
Non-perishable food items
Ice, pasta, tomato sauce, canned fruit/vegetables, oatmeal, cereal, seasonings and sauces
3 Compartment Clamshells
Most needed! Plastic clamshells with 3 spaces for food.
Beverages
Fresh milk, fruit juices, ground coffee, and bottled water
Brown Paper Bags
Most needed! Brown paper bags needed for to-go lunches.
Fresh vegetables and fruit
Used for our Fresh Produce Preservation Project (August - November)
Face masks
Disposable face masks or new cloth face coverings.
Bag Lunch supplies
Bottled water, juice boxes, apple sauce, fruit cups, chips, granola bars, individually packaged desserts
Toiletries
Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, laundry soap, hand sanitizer and combs
Paper supplies
Toilet paper, paper towels, napkins and tissues
Winter apparel and outerwear
Scarves, gloves, hats, socks, boots, sweaters, coats, jackets, umbrellas and rain gear
Useful Supplies
Helpful items for guests experiencing homelessness: blankets, sleeping bags and backpacks
Occasional Equipment needs
Commercial can openers, freezers and refrigerators. Call (414) 272-4122 for specific needs.
