Feed the Next Gen.

A legacy giving opportunity

Join the 1982 Society

At The Gathering of Southeast Wisconsin, every meal served is a promise—to show up, to care, and to nourish our community with dignity.

The 1982 Society honors those who choose to extend that promise into the future through legacy giving. Named for the year The Gathering began, this society recognizes individuals who have made a commitment to ensure that our mission continues for generations to come.

Giving Opportunities

Hunger doesn’t end today—and neither does our work.

By including The Gathering in your long-term plans, you help provide stability, sustainability, and hope. Your gift ensures that future generations will continue to receive warm meals, compassionate care, and a place where they are welcomed and valued.

Legacy giving is a powerful way to make a lasting impact—one that continues to feed both body and spirit long into the future.

  • Donors may include The Gathering in their will or trust.

  • Donors can name The Gathering as a beneficiary of: - Retirement accounts (IRA, 401k) - Life insurance policies - Bank or investment accounts.

  • For donors age 70½ or older, gifts can be made directly from an IRA, reducing taxable income.

  • Donors may designate The Gathering as a successor beneficiary of their DAF.

  • Donors may contribute to or establish a fund that provides long-term financial sustainability.

Together, we can continue Feeding the Next Generation.
